Our three-day course introduces the fundamental basics of cell culture for those who are planning to commence work that involves cell culture, either as a part of a research project or with a commercial organization. It does not require any prior experience in cell culture.

Participants will receive practical training on cell culture which includes lecture and practical sessions on a range of topics including:
- Introduction to the cell biology and cell culture
- Safety in the cell culture laboratory
- Sterility maintenance and aseptic technique
- Cell media, supplements and choice of growth matrix
- Thawing of HepG2 cells
- Cell count, viability check
- Trypsinization & passaging of cultured HepG2 cells
- Trypsinization & cryopreservation of HepG2 cells
- Good cell banking practice, record keeping
