Responsibilities:

• Assisting academics in developing successful new engineering and built environment industry/academic partnerships, and related postgraduate/PhD projects
• Expanding the delivery of quality, industry recognised built environment CPD short courses

• a new professional development CPD series for construction, surveying and built environment managers and staff
• the Essex Planning Skills series for all 15 Essex local authorities, running since 2004
• the parallel Norfolk and Suffolk Planning Skills series, established in 2008
• Councillor planning and related training, including as an appointed national Planning Advisory Service framework contractor
• renewable energy and climate change courses, working with the Global Sustainability Institute
• wider nationally recognised specialist CPD courses including Waste Planning essentials and Minerals Planning essentials
