This one day course will address when is an EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) needed.

  • what is screening and scoping and when is it needed?
  • key issues for waste and minerals developments including stakeholder engagement
  • 2011 EIA Regulations and recent judicial review decisions
  • expected changes in EU requirements, and UK Government proposals
  • case study and worked example group work on screening and scoping
