Low Carbon Skills and Climate Change Training
We still have a long way to go to tackle climate change, and training linked to targeted actions has a vital part to play in low carbon transition challenges:
- Net zero carbon new housing by 2016
- Net zero carbon for other new development shortly after
- Maximising the use of viable renewable energy
- 80% carbon reduction by 2050 and interim targets by 2020
Our university will be expanding its delivery on low carbon skills and courses on climate change and sustainable communities short courses, linking also to our degree and postgraduate courses.
- Climate Change management and Planning Policy Statement (PPS1) workshops
- Sustainable communities training
Both series of workshops originally developed and delivered for Inspire East.
