Personal Profile / Teaching Experience

Member of Digital Modelling Research Group
Member of Virtual Environments & Infrastructure Research Group

Teaching Experience

  • Games Development Technologies & Game Engines.
  • Computing languages including C, C#, C++, Javascript, AS3.
  • User Interface Design & HCI.
  • Research Methods
  • Final year undergraduate and MSc project supervision
  • PhD research projects supervision

Research Interests

  • Sustainability & Built Environment: As my first degree is Architectural Engineering, I am interested in utilising new technologies and concepts to enhance the application of sustainability in the architectural design process; with particular interest in applying BIM (Building Information Modelling) concepts and methodologies in this process. This is expanding and building upon the work I have done in my research degree.
  • Virtual Environments & Serious games: This is done with the use of games engines technology (like Unity 3D, C4, UDK, etc.) for the purpose of simulation, training, and education in particular.
  • Knowledge Discovery and Data Representation; particularly using Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) and Data Mining (DM) techniques. This has been applied within the prototype developed in my research degree.
  • Vision and Hearing Impairment Simulation Technologies: I have been involved with the University of Cambridge's Engineering Design Centre (EDC) in the development of vision and hearing impairment simulator.

Consultancy and other Professional Activity
