Our department maintains close links with the electronics, software, automotive and creative industries, and is a Cisco Systems Regional Network Academy.
These links ensure that our courses anticipate national and international employment trends, providing our students with excellent job prospects on graduation. We have a solid research base, and are engaged in a wide range of academic activities and a range of industrial and public health sector collaborations, including Knowledge Transfer Partnerships and research consultancy contracts.

We have specialist facilities at both Campuses to support teaching and research. In Cambridge, there are specialist laboratories for Electronics, Internet Technology, MIDI, and Media Technology.
