Mental Health Nursing Course

Course Overview

By choosing a mental health nursing degree with Anglia Ruskin, you will study one of the most complex and demanding areas of nursing.

A mental health nurse may be part of a team working with people who may have been excluded from services through drug or alcohol abuse. The range of conditions is vast: neuroses, psychoses, psychological and personality disorders all come under the broad heading of mental health.

Your practice placements may be based in a community health care centre, day hospital and outpatients department or specialist unit.

Employability

Our University has the second highest rate of graduate employment in the region. The fact that 95% of the Faculty of Health, Social Care & Education graduates find full time employment in their chosen field (or go on to further study) speaks volumes about the quality of our courses and the passion of our students.

I would definitely recommend this course to others. It is a life changing experience. It is personally rewarding on many levels. As well as learning academically, I have learned so much about people, and about myself.
