The role that school-based mentors and subject mentors play in working with us to develop the professional skills and knowledge of trainees is vital. As part of our commitment to supporting mentors in their work with trainees in each Hub we have appointed Lead Mentors and Link Tutors as a key point of contact. We offer a programme of training and development for mentors who are new to the role as well as information briefings for schools across the Hubs. Information on mentor events are sent directly to the schools but can also be accessed from the VLE (Virtual Learning Environment).
