We were the only university awarded outstanding for the fit for practice category in the NMC review of our nursing and midwifery provision. (Nursing and Midwifery Council Review 2012-2013). This means we are committed to ensuring that our students are fit to work in clinical practice.
The Practice Team are responsible for allocating and all health and social care students' practical experience. If you are an Education Liaison Manager please refer to our NHS Trust Managers page. If you are a professional who work with students in the practice learning environment, please visit the Practice Portal for the Online Mentor Update.
If you are a prospective student, you might like to know what placement area we cover before you apply or start on a course. We have created a series of maps which will give you an idea of the placement areas attached to your course. We have also included a mileage matrix to give an indication of distance from our campuses to practice areas.
