Take your first step to a career in nursing and book a place on our taster day

Nursing taster days provide a true feel for our three nursing fields; adult, mental health & child. You will get an opportunity to experience the study environment, gain advice & guidance on how to apply, finance accommodation and student life.

Current students and lecturers will be on hand to answer any questions. If you are thinking of a career in nursing, then our taster days will help you to make the first step towards your future career.

Please note that because of room restrictions we regret that we cannot accept family or friends in the taster day sessions and therefore if they are interested in visiting the university, we would recommend that they attend Open Days or Open Evenings.

Chelmsford taster day

The taster day answered all my questions; it confirmed I was making the right choice with the information available. Keep up the good level of talks with hands on tasks and group interaction. It keeps the day interesting. Well done team, and thank you!

The part of the day I enjoyed most was hearing about the differences between each of the three nursing streams (adult, child, mental health). I also liked that the presentations were given by lecturers on the respective courses. I thought the day was delivered very well and was most informative - thank you to all involved in its organisation.
