Why did you choose to study at Anglia Ruskin University?
I chose Anglia Ruskin University for the ease of access and because it is the only PGCE provider nearby. I was attracted to the fact it was a qualification as well as having Qualified Teacher Status attached to it.

Which aspects of your course do you enjoy most and why?
I enjoyed most the teaching experience and specifically the wide range of student ability and cultural backgrounds. The placements were contrasting and allowed me to experience different settings.

Has the course met/exceeded your expectations? If so, how?
Exceeded, the support was above and beyond expectations.

Why would you recommend your course to others?
It is a well-rounded introduction to teaching with regards to both theory and teaching practice.

Please tell us about any special features that you have benefited from on your course.
The alternative placement was a delight to undertake and a useful experience.

How do you feel that your studies at Anglia Ruskin will help you in your current job?
The course provided me with knowledge of statutory requirements.

What are your ambitions/plans for the future, and how do you feel that your course will help you to achieve these?
I would like to become a special skills teacher and my PGCE placement provided me with the opportunity to experiment with different teaching techniques.

What was the favourite aspect of non academic life?
Socialising with course colleagues and discussing placements.

How do you find fitting your studies around your outside commitments including work, family, etc?

I found it relatively straightforward. However, balancing university work and placement was slightly challenging.
