Social work courses rated as excellent...again

The Social Work degree offered by the Faculty of Health and Social Care was again rated highly in the University guide league tables published by the Guardian on 12 May 2009. The course was rated as 7th best social work course in the country with a average teaching score of 86.8%. Professor Shula Ramon of FHSC congratulated the social work academics and administrators for their hard work.

Even with the recent negative press surrounding the Baby P case the current situation looks good for the University with applications for the full-time, part-time and MA social work courses up on this time last year. Plans are also in place to offer the part-time social work degree from Thurrock.
