Faculty staff have been recognised for their excellent work in the nominations for the second year of the student led 'Made a Difference' Awards. The awards are organised through the Students' Union, with the support of Anglia Learning and Teaching. The awards give our students (current and alumni), including our partner institutions, chance to nominate academic and support service staff, who have made a difference to them. An incredible 251 Staff and Course Reps have been nominated by students to receive a 2013 'Made a Difference' award.

Over 60 members of Faculty staff have been nominated for the award with the following 7 staff shortlisted; Hazel Boutel, Alpesh Maisuria, Janet Lovelle, Karen Bartholomew, Lindsey Rose, Margaret Thomas and Sally Foister.

The staff and reps nominated by our students have done so for the time, effort and commitment they have provided this year. Every nominated member of staff will receive a Made a Difference mug as well as information as to why they've been nominated.

All nominated staff and student reps will be celebrated at this year's awards ceremony taking place at IWM Duxford on Friday 10th May with over 300 staff and students in attendance.

Last year, three academics from the Faculty received this award: Margaret Thomas, Dave Backwith and David Morris.
