Primary PGCE Graduates- Compulsory foreign languages at KS2 from September 2014 - are you ready?
According to CfBT Education Trust research published in March 2013, 1 in 10 primary schools believe they are unlikely to be able to deliver on the Government's pledge to make learning a language compulsory for all seven-year-olds from next year.
Anglia Ruskin University is pleased to offer courses in teaching French, German and Spanish languages, aimed at KS2 teachers.
Through these quality and focused courses, participants will:
- Develop increased levels of knowledge, skills and understanding of their chosen language
- Be able to effectively develop pupils' language learning at KS2
- Develop practical strategies, hints and tips to prepare for the unique challenges of language teaching

CAS/NOE Teaching Computing to KS3
This course is for ICT teachers who would like to prepare to teach Computing at Key Stage 3, in preparation for the new National Curriculum. It covers programming in Scratch and Kodu, some simple programming in Python, and a range of theory topics including binary and how the computer works.The course is 8 weeks long (excludes half-term) and runs for 2 hours on a Tuesday evening. This course is based on the Computing At School curriculum at KS3 and leads into our Teaching Computing at GCSE Level with Python.
