Outline of career

I have been a qualified social worker since 1989, specializing in working with troubled adolescents until 2010 when I joined the University as a full time Senior Lecturer. I have worked with young offenders for two London Boroughs and was previously chairperson of the London Association for Youth Justice which involved me in the delivery of training and policy development. From January 2000 I worked as a Senior Social Worker within the Leaving & After Care Service in Essex and I began my teaching career with Anglia Ruskin on a part-time basis in 2006.

Research interests

My research interests are in social work services and outcomes relating to children and young people.
