Outline of Career

Sharon spent 14 years working for a large international retailer specialising in job roles involving recruitment and staff development, before taking up Literacy lecturer positions in Further Education and Adult Community Learning Colleges in East London and Essex in 1999.

Sharon became involved in the delivery of teacher education programmes in Further Education Colleges in Essex and Hertfordshire from 2003. Sharon has worked for Anglia Ruskin University on a part then full time basis since 2006. She has been involved in developing and delivering teacher education courses for the Lifelong Learning Sector.



Research Interest

Sharon's research interests include the relationship between literacy and multiple identities of trainee teachers in the Lifelong Learning Sector, and trainee teachers' perspectives of academic writing for the Higher Education sector. Sharon is currently exploring these interests through her studies on a professional doctorate programme.
