Outline of Career
Professor Sharon Andrew was previously employed at University of Western Sydney (UWS) prior to her commencement at Anglia Ruskin University. In addition to teaching and conducting research Sharon has undertaken senior management and leadership roles including: Head of Program (HoP) for the Masters of Primary Health Care (Hong Kong) and Masters of Nursing (Clinical Leadership) Hong Kong (2009-2010); Learning and Teaching Fellow (2008-2009); HoP (Postgraduate) (2006-2008) and Campus Advisor for the Bachelor of Nursing (2003-2006).In 2010 Sharon was awarded a highly competitive Australian Learning Teaching Council Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning. In 2009 she was successful in obtaining, the Vice-Chancellors Teaching Excellence Award- Highly Commended and the UWS College of Health and Science Teaching Excellence Award.
Since 2005 Sharon has published 6 book chapters and over 30 scholarly peer-reviewed journal publications and has many in press or under review. Please email her for a list of current publications including those in press, and conference presentations.
Sharon is a Co-Editor of the research monograph Mixed Methods Research in Nursing and the Health Sciences (Andrew & Halcomb 2009) published by Wiley-Blackwell. Professor Andrew and Dr Halcomb are Guest Editors for the special issue on Mixed Methods in the Health Sciences for the International Journal of Multiple Research Approaches (mra.e-contentmanagement.com/archives/vol/5/issue/1/call). Sharon is an active peer reviewer for UK and international journals.
