Outline of career

Prior to joining academia, Sarah worked in a range of public sector organisations, focusing on housing, community care and health. She is now Head of Department for Family and Community Studies. Her research has largely concentrated on older people, health and ageing.

Sarah's main research interest are older people; health; social inclusion and childhood studies.
