Outline of Career

Robert joined Anglia Ruskin University in 2007 as a Senior Lecturer. Prior to this employment, he practiced nursing in the UK and taught nursing overseas. He started his career in Yogyakarta, Indonesia by practicing nursing in DR Sardjito university hospital and teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students in Yogyakarta Health Polytechnic and Gadjah Mada University. He also obtained some Canadian nursing experience when he studying medical surgical nursing at Lambton College in Sarnia, Ontario.

Robert moved to the UK in 1998 to study MSc in nursing studies at Manchester University. Following this, he joined Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Infirmary and worked in an elderly rehabilitation ward for nearly 1 year, a cardiac ward for a few months and then spent a few years on stroke and diabetes wards. In 2002, Robert returned back to his career in nursing education by working with Homerton School of Health Studies/Homerton College Cambridge and then with Anglia Ruskin University
