Research Interests

In addition to her teaching commitments within the University, Rebecca is interested in the field of Educational research and is currently working towards a Doctorate in Education.

Previous and current research has been centred on the influences teachers and practitioners have on the young children they work with. At present, she is working primarily on her thesis. This explores what teachers can learn from children as researchers into their own identities or self, and the implications this has for their own practice.

Small scale research projects in the past have focused on rewards and sanctions in a classroom environment and the inclusion of traveller culture in schools.
