Outline of career

Dr. Lindsay has a professional background as a nurse and midwife, with academic training as a social scientist. She qualified as a nurse at Guy's Hospital London in 1973, and as a midwife in 1974. She has extensive experience as a midwife in the UK and has worked in the Sultanate of Oman.

Dr. Lindsay current post is Lead Midwife for Education.


Research Interest

Dr. Lindsay's research interests are in risk and patient safety in maternity care, social and cultural processes around reporting of adverse events in maternity care and women's mental health

Her achievements include a record of regular publications and she has written chapters for midwifery textbooks. Dr. Lindsay has given conference presentation in the UK and in the Middle East
