Outline career

Pam qualified as an RGN in 1984 at University College, London and has worked within critical care and critical care education for the last 27 years. Her clinical experience has covered coronary care, cardiothoracic and general intensive care. Latterly she has been involved in delivering education programmes to reduce "Failure to Rescue" rates in the deteriorating patient.

She is passionate about meeting the psychosocial needs of patients and families that sadly have to experience critical illness and has recently completed a national guideline on visitation in critical care published by the BACCN. Current academic role is pathway leader for BSc(Hons) Acute Care.


Research Interest

The lived experiences of patients and relatives exposed to the Critical Care setting.
