- I am currently completing an Msc in Medical Healthcare Education
- I am a Partner with Health Professions Council (HPC) and this involves visiting and reviewing other health care programmes around the country.
- I am also a member of the College of Operating Department Practitioners Education committee which has lead to my participation in the development of the ODP degree curriculum.

Outline of Career
Nick qualified as an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) in 2004 at Addenbrookes Hospital. He then spent the next 6 years in practice. In 2000 he moved into education and training on the ODP programme run by the trust. In 2002 he was seconded from the NHS to Homerton school of Health studies to write the curriculum documentation and implement the introduction of the Dip He in Operating Department Practice, which was validated in 2003.Currently Nick is a senior lecturer on the ODP pathway specialising in Adult learning, Anaesthetics, and Anatomy and Physiology.
Research Interests
Nick's research interest is around student learning, particularly how a student attains mastery in education and practice.Nick is very interested in the development of specialised taxonomy for assessing professional groups.
