Outline of career
Prior to being appointed as Senior Lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University I was Review Manager, Safeguarding and Standards Unit with Cambridgeshire County Council, responsible for chairing and coordinating inter-professional safeguarding decision-making reviews, including quality assurance and auditing function. I have more than twenty years post qualifying work experience at practice, supervisory, and managerial levels in both, statutory and non-statutory settings in the UK and abroad.Research
My current and future research interests include:- Use of mixed methods research designs
- Inter-professional collaborative safeguarding decision-making
- Quality improvement in social care
- Integrating business and social care models
- Children's Rights

My overarching passion is to enable Anglia Ruskin University achieve its vision and mission, and for the Faculty of Health & Social Care to be able to produce Social Work graduates who are the most sought after by service users and employers, through the use of the most robust, effective and inclusive learning and teaching methods and processes.
