Outline of Career

Mallika has got experience in teaching, research and training. She has works as a Senior Lecturer and has taught on different Early Years undergraduate pathways. She has participated in several research projects in the area of social sciences.

Mallika also has experience as a trainer and has trained child development workers (anganwadi workers) under Integrated Child Development Services Scheme, Government of India.


Research Interests

Children's participation: Children's perceptions of school experience, participatory research methods, children's right to participation, using audio-visual aids to explore children's perceptions of their learning environments.

Children's socio-emotional development: peer selection and peer relations, children's friendship, parenting styles and their influence and cultural diversity.
