Outline of career

Lorna has a clinical background in Critical Care and has worked in various Intensive Care Units within the UK and Ireland. These include General Intensive Care and Cardiothoracic specialities. She moved into education six years ago, and is now responsible for managing the Adult Pre-registration Nursing Programme and Continuing Professional Development for Acute Care. Together with the Acute Care team, Lorna is developing an already expanding research profile and is dedicated to ensuring that acute care education continues to develop and remain responsive to the ongoing demands of acute health care.
