Outline of career

Apart from undertaking midwifery training, all of Fiona's clinical career was spent in intensive/coronary care . Her final clinical position was as a clinical nurse specialist. Fiona was involved in commissioning a separate coronary unit and was also was the nurse member of the ethics committee.
Fiona moved into education in 1990 and has worked as a tutor/senior lecturer at Peterborough since then. Her main area is acute care nursing, specifically in relation to resuscitation and surgical care.

Research Interest

Fiona is interested in intensive care issues.
