Outline of career
David trained as a Mental Health Nurse at South Bank University and graduated in 1994. In his early career he held various posts including in Psychiatric Intensive Care, Acute Care settings and Young Persons Residential Care. After a period as a Mental Health Practitioner using Solution Focused Brief Therapy, he later specialised in its application to Secondary Mental Health Care as a Community Mental Health Nurse and a Specialist Mental Health Nurse for Families and Carers.David joined Anglia Ruskin University in 2006 and is now a Senior Lecturer in Mental Health and Pathway Leader for the Foundation Degree in Mental Health.
