Outline of career

Clare qualified and worked in Social work from 1979-2000 in a variety of practice and management posts. Her last posts were involved in practice development and quality assurance. She worked in private practice as a psychotherapist from 2000 until 2008, when she joined the university. Alongside her private practice, Clare has offered consultancy in the social care sector.


Research Interest

Current research interest is the transition experience of newly qualified social workers as they leave the university and enter the work place as a qualified practitioner.
