Career Outline
Clare has 30 years of experience in education gained in a variety of sectors. She has taught in middle, primary and special schools including nine years in senior leadership roles.Clare was Course Director of a postgraduate qualification in English as an Additional Language for mainstream teachers and has lectured in different countries including Ghana, Pakistan and China.
She has produced and developed training materials on Special Educational Needs and English as an Additional Language and also has experience of leading Local Authority projects on both these areas.
Claire also has considerable experience in working in partnership with parents. She acted as Parent Partnership Manager for Tower Hamlets, managing a large community based educational advice centre for parents. She also provided freelance training and consultancy work on Inclusive Practice for Schools and Working with Parents.

- Inclusive practice in schools with particular regard to Special Educational Needs and English as an Additional Language
- Community cohesion and developing community schools
- Protective factors in education for children at risk
