Outline of career
Chris has worked with children and families on the children's ward who had a variety of challenges, including long term illness and child protection. She then started working within the university, teaching child branch nursing students on pre-registration programmes (and also professional groups) modules about safeguarding children. Presently, Chris supervises postgraduate research and staff undertaking Masters degrees in education when they undertake supervised teaching practise, alongside teaching and running modules.In 2010 she completed a PhD describing the feelings, emotions and memories of young people with CF, including their health care experiences. The young people have been encouraged through taped interviews to reflect on their life and the transitions they have experienced.
At present Chris is Acting Director of Teaching and Learning. This involves supporting staff to achieve excellence in teaching and assessment.

Dec 10- March 11: An evaluation of carer's psychological support service provided by Crossroads Care Crossroads Care, Redbridge, Epping & Harlow2010 to present: Research Project; Experiences and Perceived Learning needs of School nurses in the area of Sexual Health provision.
