Outline of Career

Tara has worked in education for fifteen years. She started her career as a teacher in a large primary school in Cambridgeshire where she had cross-phase teaching experiences from Nursery to Year 6. She quickly moved in to a Senior Manager role where she led in in CPD, English, wellbeing and school improvement.

Tara has planned and led training for senior managers, teachers, support staff and governors on raising standards, new initiatives and teaching children to write creatively. In 2009 Tara gained her National Professional Qualification for Headship.

Tara is currently a Senior Lecturer, personal tutor and visiting Tutor on the PGCE Primary course and also continues to work in local schools.


Research Interests

Tara's main research interests are Literacy & Assessment for Learning
