Outline of career

Simon is the module leader for Safe Sedation, lead for Resuscitation Training and module operator for the Postoperative Anaesthetic modules at the Chelmsford site.

He joined the Royal Navy after leaving school and spent many a happy year working and seeing interesting people/places. Upon leaving, Simon studied a Diploma in Operating Department Practice, at Anglia Ruskin University in 2001. This was followed by a BSc (Hons) in Anaesthetics & Emergency Care, with a focus on pre-hospital and emergency care.

Simon has worked in various clinical and management roles ranging from A&E and Resuscitation Officer at a large London Teaching Hospital to being the Anaesthetic Manager at one of the UK's largest private hospitals.


Research Interest

Simon has an interest in researching resuscitation equipment and simulation with regard to resuscitation.
