Outline of Career

Samya started teaching Mathematics in 1978 and since then she has taught in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and England. She has also worked with Edexcel marking Mathemathics examinations at different key stages.

As of September 2011, she has joined Anglia Ruskin University where she teaches on all the modules of the Secondary PGCE Mathematics. She has also contributed to the Primary PGCE by teaching a focused study in Mathematics.

Research Interests

Samya's main interest is in international and diversity issues. She is also interested in how children's social, cultural, linguistic and religious background affects their learning.
