Outline of Career

Kelly became a secondary school MFL teacher in 1998 before qualifying as an Advanced Skills Teacher in 2003. She has taught in primary and secondary schools in Nottingham City, Havering and Essex.

Kelly was Head of Faculty and Subject Mentor for the Havering Graduate Teacher Training Programme before working as a Local Authority Advisor in Westminster. In this capacity she supported primary school teachers to teach Modern Languages and led the One to One Tuition National Strategy supporting cross phase Numeracy and Literacy.

She now also works as an Additional Inspector for Schools working on behalf of Ofsted.


Research Interests

Kelly is studying for a PhD in the area of 'outstanding teaching'.
