Outline of Career
Adelle worked for almost two decades first as a nurse and then primarily as a health visitor. She was extensively involved in improving practice - specialising in lactation and infant feeding and setting up breastfeeding clinics in an area of deprivation.She then practiced as Infant Feeding Advisor in a hospital and taught infant feeding to multi disciplinary staff for many years. The teaching of student health visitors became her focus, practicing as a Practice Teacher before moving into Further Education.
She then taught in Further Education for 4 years in the area of health and social care and child care at both Further Education and Higher Education levels.
Adelle started as a senior lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University in August 2012.
Research Interests
Adelle carried out research into health visitors' experiences of working with breastfeeding women as part of her masters degree. She also evaluated a breastfeeding clinic she ran.Selected Publications
