Research ethics
Faculty Research Ethics Panel (FREP)
All staff and students who undertake research involving human participants are required to follow the Research Ethics Sub Committee (RESC) guidelines and receive ethics clearance. All ethics applications should be submitted to the Faculty Research Ethics Panel (FREP) via Simon Gardner, our Research Administrator.
If research involves children (under the age of 18 years old) and vulnerable participants (e.g. children and adults with disabilities, mental health problems) or deals with sensitive and contentious issues, the application will then also need to be considered by RESC before approval may be granted.
Please see below for details of submission requirements and contact Simon Gardner, our Research Administrator, if you have any queries.
