The second ALSS Quiz Night, held on Wednesday 9 February 2011 in local pub The Tram Depot, provided an opportunity for all staff and students from our diverse departments to get together for an evening of socialising, drinking and, most importantly, quizzing.

This time, the spoils of trivia war went to a staff team, 'Mick's Merry Mix', comprised of Deputy Dean Dr Apurba Kundu, Director of Research Eugene Giddens and Research Fellow Zoe Jacques, and valiantly captained by Dr Mick Gowar, Senior Lecturer with the Cambridge School of Art. A consolation prize of a free round of drinks was earned by Drama student team 'Granger Danger,' who entertained everybody throughout the evening.

We'd like to thank everyone who helped to support the event, particularly Karen Sturt for organising it, technicians Chris Herbert and John Walsh for preparing the questions and providing music, and our Dean, Derrik Ferney, for his second stint as Quizmaster.
