We are pleased to announce that 6 subject areas in the Faculty of Arts, Law and Social Sciences have ranked in the top third of The Guardian University League Tables for 2014.

The rankings, considered by many prospective students and their advisors to be a key source of information when applying for University places, saw Anglia Ruskin's Sociology provision (which includes Criminology) leap eleven places to 13th, positioning it in the top fifth of its category. We also held our place in the top quarter of both History and Media & Film Studies categories, while our Art & Design provision climbed 14 places to 26 - an 18% rise over 2013.

Elsewhere, English (including both Literature and Language) and Law both held firm in the top third of their respective tables.

Congratulations go to all our staff, who have worked hard to build the reputation of their subject areas.
