Dr Nigel Ward's research activity

Nigel teaches on the Drama and Performing Arts courses. He has a background as a professional theatre director, working in fringe theatre and as an assistant director for the Royal Shakespeare Company. Internationally his credits include two productions for the British Council in India. At Anglia Ruskin he teaches across a range of theoretical and practical modules, including modules focused on devising, directing and digital performance.

His research focuses on theatre directing, intercultural performance, digital performance and the work of Antonin Artaud.

He is keen to supervise research in the areas of:
