Research

Research in music and performing arts at Anglia Ruskin University encompasses international-level scholarship across a broad spectrum of topics, including:

These research areas describe inter-related groups of activity, rather than formal and necessarily discrete research groupings, and colleagues regularly work together on joint publishing or conference projects.

In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, set up to monitor the quality of research in UK universities, 80% of the Department's work was judged to be of international standard, with 20% judged to be either 'internationally excellent' or 'world-leading'.

In recent years Anglia Ruskin has hosted a number of international research conferences which have further heightened our reputation as a research-active environment. Further information can be found on our conferences page.
