Sarah has taught mainly on English as a Foreign Language in recent years and, as Comenius Manager, was involved in working with CILT, the National Centre for Languages to promote languages regionally.

She now acts as Project Manager for the Routes into Languages East Consortium (Anglia Ruskin is the lead institution with Cambridge University, University of Bedfordshire and the Open University as partners), part of a national programme involving university consortia working with schools to promote languages. Her research interests are medical discourse: doctor-patient communication.
