John O'Leary is an experienced lecturer teaching primarily in the fields of sports law, employment law, equity and trusts and the law of torts where he has developed innovative teaching techniques particularly in on-line learning. He is the joint author of 'Sports Law' and editor of 'Drugs and Doping in Sport'.

He is a sports law consultant and has published extensively on contractual, employment and doping issues in professional sport. He was joint author of a report undertaken on behalf of the European Commission on Doping in Sport which was used as a reference work by the World Anti-Doping Agency.
