Anglia Ruskin Law Networking Group to hold Summer event

Dr Tom Mortimer
Following the successful Law Networking event last December, we are offering a summer event to be held on Friday 3 July in the Faculty Building on our Rivermead Campus in Chelmsford. CPD points are available for this event.

We have three new speakers to share their knowledge with us. Each will speak for 20 minutes, allowing 10 minutes for a Q&A at the end of each presentation. The arrangements for the evening will be:

6.00 Refreshments in the Foyer of the Faculty Building
6.30 Move to the lecture theatre for speakers:
  • Claire Read on 'Current issues in inheritance tax'
  • Colin Smith on 'Commercial mediation'
  • Dr Tom Mortimer on 'Corporate Governance and the economic crisis'.
8.00 Refreshments and networking

Our Legal Practice course is also celebrating having been awarded Skillsmark accreditation from Skills for Justice. It is the first higher education institution to be so accredited, and was awarded the top grade for the quality of its legal skills training programme, including praise for its 'excellent modern resources'. The LPC team will also say a few words at the event.

There is no charge for this event. If you would like to book a place, please complete the booking form on the events section of the alumni website and return to the following address by 9 June 2009:
