Law employability and careers modules
A new module for careers and employability has been introduced into the Legal Practice Course, and a similar compulsory module will be introduced for level 3 undergraduates this year. The key for both modules is the focus on the world of work, giving a taste of real life skills and experiences from people who have been employers in the private sector and in senior management roles in the civil service.
The courses will explore lateral career routes in the law and how to develop objectives and strategies for obtaining employment and developing skills that that are of interest to employers. This will include self-marketing plans, interviewing techniques and identifying competencies.
