Anglia students win places on CSET summer school

Anglia Law School is delighted to announce that two of our first year Cambridge students, Victoria Armstrong and Trudy Stanford, have gained places on the first CSET Summer School. Victoria and Trudy will take up two of the 100 places after beating over 800 other applicants.

The objective of the CSET (City Solicitors Educational Trust) Summer School is to unlock the potential in students in higher education who might not have excelled in their A levels and/or are not studying at one of the top UK universities.

The Summer School is an intense one-week residential skills-training event to be held at Imperial College London from Monday 28th July to Saturday 2nd August 2008. It will use the law as its context and include group and individual structured sessions while providing business and social networking opportunities. Students will meet recruiters, senior representatives and graduates from leading law firms as well as visiting the firms' offices. After the Summer School, every student attending will have access to a structured, mentoring programme for the remainder of their time at university. They also receive £100 for attending.

Senior lecturer, Andrew Gilbert, said, "This is a tremendous achievement by Victoria and Trudy and I am really pleased for them. They are both excellent students and I am sure they will benefit enormously from their time in London and from the ongoing mentoring programme."
