In August 2008 Rob Home was visiting professor for three weeks on the Property Law programme at the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa), on the invitation of Professor Andre van der Walt. He will be submitting an article on Gypsy accommodation needs to the Stellenbosch Law Review, based upon his contract research for UK local authorities.

While in the region he visited the Polytechnic Namibia at Windhoek (Namibia), advising on their new Masters in integrated land management, and also interviewed a candidate who will be joining the new Professional Doctorate in Law programme, researching corporate governance.
