An evening of history and politics with Roy Hattersley

Roy Hattersley, the distinguished politician, historian, journalist and broadcaster, returned to Anglia Ruskin University for a special evening of history and politics organised by the Labour History Research Unit in Cambridge.
Hattersley entered Parliament in 1964 and went on to serve in each of Harold Wilson's governments as well as James Callaghan's Cabinet. In 1983, he became deputy leader of the Labour Party and received a peerage in 1997. He is a prolific broadcaster, writer and newspaper columnist. His recent acclaimed publications include 'The Edwardians' and 'Borrowed Time: The Story of Britain Between the Wars'. His new biography of David Lloyd George will be published in 2010.
