Philosophy is not dead!

The inaugural meeting of the Philosophy Society, run by third year students, took place on Monday 27 September. Over 25 students were present to hear Philosophy Pathway Leader Dr Tristan Moyle give an introductory talk entitled 'Philosophy is not 'dead'! A Reply to Stephen Hawking'.

A number of external speakers have been lined up for future meetings, including Jonathan Derbyshire, culture editor of the New Statesman, who will be speaking on 'David Cameron's Big Society'.
