New BA Hons in Psychosocial Studies

New BA Hons in Psychosocial Studies

The new BA Hons in Psychosocial Studies recruited its first students in September 2006. This Single Honours Degree has been developed through close collaboration between the Sociology and Psychology staff at Anglia Ruskin. It is a course which has been designed to combine the focus on the individual found in psychology and psychoanalysis with the wider social and cultural concerns of sociology. It is intended to appeal to those who perhaps already have an interest in either sociology or psychology but would like to go on to enrich their understanding of the relationship between self and society by combining the insights of both disciplines.

However, this course does not require sociology or psychology A-Levels. A degree in Psychosocial Studies will give you a fully-rounded understanding of human behaviour, which will have a practical application in a range of professional and social policy areas.
